Darwison completed his undergraduate education at the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology Surabaya, his Master's degree at Gadjah Mada University, and his doctorate from Andalas University Indonesia in 2019. He has been a young lecturer at Andalas University since 1995 and became Associate Professor in 2007. He teaches electronics classes, digital systems, sensors, Microprocessors & Microcontrollers, genetic algorithms, fuzzy logic, and intelligent systems. He served as Head of the Digital Electronics Laboratory from 2002 to 2015, Head of the information systems department of the Faculty of Information Technology Unand from 2012 to 2016, and a member of the Quality Control Group of the Department of Electrical Engineering since 2020. His research focuses on intelligent control systems for field applications; high voltage, conversion, robotics, image processing, and mechatronics. He was named an Exemplary Lecturer III at FT Unand in 2005. He also received several achievements as the best presenter at several conferences. He has also produced several textbooks for electronics, digital systems, sensors, and microprocessors courses.
