Syukri Yunus was born in Padang on June 24, 1959. I graduated from ITB in Bandung on March 1, 1985, and at the end of May 1985, I applied to study at Andalas University as an extraordinary lecturer. And in 1986 I was appointed as a civil servant at Andalas University. Until now I still work at the Department of Electrical Engineering, at Andalas University.
I was allowed to continue my education to take a master's degree at the University of Indonesia, in collaboration with the University of Maryland USA. So I got 1.5 years of education at the University of Maryland.
